that child is the child who came to school with cuts and bruises, but never on her knees and elbows like all the other kids

that child was the class clown
yet still abnormally withdrawn

that child was taught to lie,
she was taught so well that when it came to other less important things, she made the lying much less then perfect
so no one could catch on

that child loves the people who hate her more than
anything, more than most would understand

that child doesn't comprehend how others can
somehow see good in her, the same very self that
is nothing more than a punching bag to everyone
who is supposed to care

that child is able to fool the world

that child, who is all grown up now, appears to be
completely normal, yet little does that foolish
world know, not a thing has changed for that child

that child suffers the same even now that she
knows there is something terribly wrong

that child doesn't know what she has or will do
wrong to deserve such a thing, yet understands
that by bearing it things are better

that child seems stupid and unaware to others, yet
she is all too aware and that is where the problem lies

that child never will cave regardless to what will happen
